Citizens on Patrol

The
Franklintown Citizens on Patrol (COP) is a neighborhood
watch program. We are the volunteer eyes and ears that
help keep our community crime free.
As
our volunteers go about their daily activities or drive through the
community, they are vigilant for anything that might endanger their
neighbors. The log their patrols and call the police if they
observe suspicious activity. Such programs are effective crime
deterrents. What
Does a COP Volunteer Do? We
have easy, convenient programs to do patrols. Patrollers can be
daily walkers, joggers or someone who looks out the door as well as
those who patrol by automobile. Secondary students needing
community service hours can work with the COP trash removal program or
on patrols. No
special equipment is required to do patrols but we have signs, T-shirts,
logs, radios, and other equipment for those who want to use them. In
case of emergency or suspicious activity, Volunteers call 911. How
Do I Join?
We
are always looking for interested residents who would like to
help. To sign up or for more information call Sam at (410)
298-6344. Be
a member of the
Franklintown COP and
help keep our Neighborhood
crime free!
