I
will abide by the FCA Bylaws and any
other "Rules of Order" that the Board has adopted.
I
will honor my fellow Board members for their volunteer activity and
assist them in any way I can.
As
a Board Member I agree to act as an agent of the Franklintown
Community Association and to act only with the Board's prior
knowledge and approval.
I
will convene meetings or discussions (telephone, in person, etc.)
regarding community activities or business only with the prior
knowledge and consent of the Board or the Executive Committee.
I
agree to support decisions of the Board of Directors and voice
disagreements I may have at Board meetings or with other Board
members in such a way that will not damage the Association.
I
will do my best to attend all Board meetings as scheduled and try
not to miss more than 3 Board meetings per membership year. If
I can not attend a Board meeting I will forward any reports I have
agreed to make to the President or Vice President in order to keep
the Board updated only projects and will follow up prior to the next
board meeting to stay informed.
I
will maintain the records of my Board activity in an orderly manner
so that I can pass them on after my service on the Board is
completed.
As
a member of the Board I agree to act as Chair or leader of at least
1 activity approved by the Board. I will maintain that
activity for as long as the board deems it necessary for the
operation of the Association or until I exchange an activity with
another Board member. I will make a report of my activities at
each Board meeting.
When
requesting the Association to take on a new activity:
I
will first obtain Board approval.
I
will agree to lead the activity or nominate an individual not
currently on the Board to lead the activity.
I
will set aside adequate time on my personal schedule to meet my
Board and community obligations.
I
acknowledge the importance of maintaining discipline during
,meetings, including following the agenda and respecting visitors
and fellow Board members who have the floor.
I
will work continuously to recruit new members to the Association.
